Spotify offers both free and Premium tiers, including Individual, Duo, Family, and Student plans. If you want to end your Premium subscription and switch back to Spotify Free, the exact steps depend on how you pay for your subscription.

If your account is billed directly by Spotify, you can cancel in a web browser or in the Spotify mobile app. If you’re billed through third parties such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, you’ll need to manage and cancel your subscription directly in Apple or Google settings.

⚠️ What Happens When You Cancel Premium?

Before canceling your Spotify Premium, here’re several points you may need to note:

  • Paid Subscriptions: Your account remains on Premium until the end of your current billing cycle. After that date, it automatically switches to Spotify Free.
  • Free Trials: If you cancel during a Premium free trial, your account will revert to Spotify Free immediately.
  • Your Library: You will not lose your saved playlists, liked songs, or account history. However, offline downloads will no longer be available.
