“I’m trying out audible for the first time, but only one credit a month? Is there a way to get more? I want to listen to a book I haven’t read in a long time to see if I like audiobooks, but I’m having a hard time deciding what to listen to with only one credit” – from Reddit user.
Audible Premium Plus subscribers can use credits to purchase audiobooks and keep them forever. However, usually you can only get 1 or 2 credits per month? Want to get more credits? Here we will show you 3 options.
What is Audible credit?
Audible Premium Plus members receive credits as part of their membership benefits. They can use a credit to purchase any audiobook, regardless of price. Titles that are available for purchase with a credit will have a 1 credit banner next to them. Audible Plus members do not receive credits.
As you can see from the above, Audible sends you credits to buy audiobooks based on your subscription, but if you want more credits to purchase audiobooks, check below 3 options.
Paid Audible Premium Plus member for more than 30 days can buy more credits when you only have 1 or 0 credits in your account. You’ll be offered the option to buy a 3-pack of additional credits with a cheaper price than the regular cost. As a new member, you have to wait 30 days to buy more credits. If you have two or more credits in your account, you need to use your credits first and then come back to this page to buy more credits.
If you plan to buy lots of books, consider switching to the Annual plan at a discount, which gives you 12 credits or 24 credits up front. These plans allow you to purchase a bunch of credits which you can use immediately. Also, you get a discount on the per-credit cost. For example, the 24-credit upfront plan costs $229.50, which works out to about $9.56 per credit.
You can switch to the annual plan anytime even if under 30 days. If not give them a call they will set you up.
BTW, sometimes, Audible has a special 12 credits upfront offer for $99.
Have Amazon Prime? Amazon Prime subscribers will get two credits when you sign up Audible Premium Plus free trial. After the free trial is up you will get another 2 credits when your paid membership starts. Use those and you will get the deal to buy three credits.
Sometimes you can also get time limited offers, such as free Audible for 3 months. It’s the Audible Premium Plus plan, which means you can get 3 free books even if you cancel the subscription before the free trial expires.
