On January 4, 2023, Spotify unveiled a new feature called Spotify Playlist in a Bottle to mark the beginning of the new year. This innovative addition, also known as the Musical Time Capsule, offers users an interactive in-app experience.

With the Spotify Time Capsule, listeners answer several questions about their current musical preferences. These responses are sealed in the virtual time capsule to be opened one year later, creating a nostalgic journey through their Spotify music experiences. Send your future self a musical time capsule and treat yourself a musical surprise in January 2024 With Spotify’s Playlist in a Bottle.
