In 2026, Audiobooks on Spotify are available in over 20 countries, including the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, with more than 700,000 titles.
Spotify Premium users get 12–15 hours of monthly audiobook listening—for example, 15 hours in the US, and 12 hours in France. If you’re on a Duo or Family plan, only the plan manager can enjoy this benefit.

For now, Audiobooks on Spotify can only be purchased in the Spotify Web Player, but you can listen in the app once you’ve unlocked a title. Head to open.spotify.com, find an audiobook you want to listen to, and follow the steps to check out. Then head back to the app and start listening. You’ll find all your saved and unlocked audiobooks in Your Library.
When you purchase an audiobook on a family plan, it will only be visible to you and available for listening on your Spotify account. Other members of the plan will not have access to the title.

Spotify audiobook prices range from $3 to $50. There are also some free audiobooks. Currently, audiobooks can only be purchased or got via the web. Once you’ve paid to unlock access to the audiobook, you can listen to it in the app.
