How to see who liked your playlist on Spotify?

It’s easy to follow a playlist on Spotify by clicking or tapping its heart icon. Here, “follow” equals “like” and equals “Save to Your Library”. You can like playlists from Spotify, your friends, or someone else. Your public playlists can also be liked by others. However, you can only see that there’s people who liked and saved your playlist, but you can’t see who liked your playlist. The notion of being able to view who liked your playlist was initially suggested in 2013. In 2019, Spotify updated the status of the request to “Not Right Now.”

Surprisingly, a decade later in May 2023, this feature was briefly introduced and then promptly removed. During that brief period, some users could observe who had recently liked their playlists within the notifications tab. Unfortunately, this segment of the notifications tab vanished several days later.

As of now, it’s not feasible to determine who likes your playlists on Spotify. However, you can still see the count of likes on each playlist you’ve created. Additionally, you have the capability to view who follows your profile and the total number of followers.

Can You See Who Liked Your Spotify Playlist?

Regrettably, Spotify does not provide information about who has liked your playlists.

This applies not only to your playlists but also to those created by others.

Nonetheless, you have the option to view the number of likes your Spotify playlist receives, and here’s how you can achieve that.

Will Spotify add this feature?

The idea allowing you to see who liked your playlist was posted in 2013. In 2019, Spotify has moved the status of the request to “Not Right Now”.

However, 10 years later in May 2023, this feature was implemented for a few days and then removed. Some users were able to see who recently liked their playlists in the notifications tab, but that part of the notifications tab is since gone.

How to keep people from following your Spotify playlist?

There isn’t a direct method to prevent someone from following your Spotify playlist, but you can make the playlist private. However, this action will only remove the playlist from your profile and prevent it from showing up in searches.

It’s important to note that if you share the playlist’s link with someone, they can still follow it even if it’s set to private. Additionally, if the playlist was already followed by someone before you made it private, they will continue to be a follower despite the privacy setting.

To set your playlist as private on Spotify:

  1. Open the Spotify app on your device and tap on “Your Library” located in the lower right corner of the screen.
  2. You’ll see a list of the playlists you’ve created. Choose the playlist you want to hide from visitors to your account.
  3. Next to the playlist name, there will be three dots. Tap on them to reveal the options.
  4. Look for the “Make Private” option and select it. This will set your playlist as private, making it unsearchable and inaccessible to others.

  2. Choose Profile.
