Although music streaming services have become more and more popular these days, many people still prefer to purchase songs. One of the reason is that some songs are not available in the music streaming services you use. Some people may not listen to music often. Although you pay for the music streaming service monthly or yearly, the songs are never yours. Once you cancel your subscription, you no longer have access to the songs.

Buy music from the iTunes Store app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

1. Open the iTunes Store app.
2. Find the song or album you want to buy.
3. Tap the price next to the song or album to buy it.
4. Sign in with your Apple ID and password to complete the purchase.

To find the music you’ve purchased, tap More at the bottom of the screen – Purchased.

Buy music from the iTunes Store in the Apple Music app on your Mac(macOS 10.15 and later)

1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. In the menu bar, choose Music > Preferences.
3. Select iTunes Store, then click Ok.
4. Click the iTunes Store button in the top right-hand corner.
5. Find the song or album you want to buy.
6. Click the rice next to the song or album to buy it.

Buy music in iTunes on your PC or macOS 10.14 and earlier

1. Open iTunes.
2. Choose Music from the left top corner, then click Store in the top.
3. Find the song or album you want to buy.
4. Click the price next to the song or album to buy it.
5. Sign in with your Apple ID and password to complete the purchase.

How to find all purchased songs?

• On the Store page, click Purchased on the right side.

If you can’t find songs that you have purchased, check if you have set them hidden.

1. Click Account – View My Account.
2. Scroll down to Downloads and Purchases.
3. Click Manage.

Click Unhide under the albums. Then you will find all purchased albums and songs in the Purchased page.

Songs you purchased from iTunes Store are in DRM-free M4A format. You can play them with iTunes, Music, VLC, etc.

How to add iTunes music to Spotify?

Spotify Local Files feature allows you to use the app to play any audio file on your device with either premium or free account. To play iTunes music with Spotify, make sure you have downloaded the songs to your iOS, Android or desktop.

1. Click your account name in the top-right and select Settings.
2. Scroll to Local Files and switch Show Local Files on.
