Spotify’s play queue is the list of songs that will play next. So you can conveniently know the following songs you’ll hear. If you want to temporarily add or remove songs without changing the original playlist, that’s also where the play queue comes in. If you’d like to learn more about this feature, follow this guide on how to find, edit, and clear your Spotify queue.

Spotify Play Queue is a temporary list of tracks to be played next. If you start playing a playlist or album, the songs will be automatically added to the Play Queue. You can add songs, albums, playlists, and podcasts to it. You can also remove tracks from the queue if you change your mind.
Once a song finishes playing, it’s automatically removed from the queue. This makes the queue ideal for creating temporary listening experiences. If you’re not sure about adding a song to a playlist, you can test it out in the queue to see how it fits with your current listening session.
Spotify Premium subscribers can access the play queue features on both mobile and desktop devices. However, on mobile devices, Free users can only access partial queue features.
Editing the Play Queue on mobile is currently exclusive to Premium users. Free users can add songs to the play queue, but cannot directly remove songs or clear the queue. You’ll need alternative methods to do so.

Note: Spotify Free users can also see the playing queue on mobile devices. However, they can only see a shuffled list of upcoming tracks unless they manually add songs to the queue.

Spotify Premium users can add songs, playlists, and albums to the play queue on mobile. However, free users can only add songs and albums to the queue.
Option 1. Use the More Button

Option 2. Swipe Right on a Track
Go to a track on Spotify and swipe right to add it to the playing queue. For Free users, this method applies only to songs in the current shuffle list.

Spotify Premium users can remove any song from the play queue: just swipe the song to the left.

To remove several songs from Spotify Premium play queue:

Spotify Free users cannot remove songs from the play queue on mobile devices. But you can use an alternative way to delete the following song/songs in a row by playing the next song after the songs you want to remove.

Spotify Premium users can clear songs you manually added to the play queue on mobile devices. The “Clear” button will not show on automatically populated playlists or radio sessions.

To clear the entire play queue for both Premium and Free Spotify users:
Only Spotify Premium users can change song orders within the play queue on mobile devices. Here’s how:
