Apple Music offers 3 plans: Student $5.99/month, Individual $10.99/month($109/year) and Family $16.99/month. If there are more than 2 persons in your family use Apple Music, then the family plan is a perfect choice.

With an Apple Music Family Plan, up to six people in the family can enjoy all the features and the full catalog of Apple Music.

To get started, just set up Family Sharing on your iOS or iPadOS device, Android phone, or Mac and invite family members to join.

How to set up Family Sharing?

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Family Sharing, then tap Set Up Your Family.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your family and invite your family members.

On your Mac

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings. Click your name – Family Sharing.
2. Click Set Up Family.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your family and invite your family members.

If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier:

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Family Sharing.
2. Confirm the Apple ID, then click Get Started.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.

If you don’t see Family Sharing option, click Details to enable iCloud.

How to add family to Apple Music?

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap your name, then tap Family Sharing.
3. Tap Add Member.
4. If your child doesn’t have an Apple ID, tap Create an Account for a Child. But if your child already has an Apple ID, tap Invite People. They can enter their Apple ID password on your device to accept the invitation.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

On your Mac

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. Click Family Sharing.
3. Click + icon. Then click Invite People.

Choose how you want to send the invitations.

If you choose Invite in Person, ask your family member to sign in.

If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier:

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
2. Click Manage Family.
3. Click the add family member button (+), then follow the onscreen instructions.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Invitations.

On your Mac

Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Family Sharing. If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences > iCloud, click Manage Family, then follow the instructions.

Once you’ve invited family members to the group, go ahead and purchase the Apple Music family subscription. The music streaming subscription will automatically be shared with your family members. The Apple Music family plan costs $14.99 in the US for up to six users compared to $9.99 for an individual account. Only the organizer of Family Sharing can cancel Apple Music subscription.

If you have subscribed to Apple Music individual plan, then you need to switch to Apple Music family plan.

3. Tap Apple Music.
4. Tap See All Plans, then select Family.

1. Open the App Store app.

3. Click Account Settings at the top of the window.
4. Sign in with your Apple ID.
5. Scroll down and click Manage to the right of Subscriptions.
6. Click Edit to the right of Apple Music.
7. Choose Family plan and click Confirm.

On Windows and macOS Mojave or earlier:

1. Run iTunes confirm your Apple ID.
2. Click Account – View My Account.
3. Scroll down and click Manage to the right of Subscriptions.
4. Choose Family plan and click Confirm.
