If you wish to access your iTunes Store purchases on a computer, it’s necessary to first authorize it. You can authorize a Windows using iTunes or a Mac with either Apple Music or Apple TV. Before proceeding with authorization, make sure you’ve signed in to iTunes or Apple Music with the same Apple ID.

It’s worth noting that you can authorize a maximum of five computers at any given time to play your iTunes Store purchases. Therefore, if you already have five devices authorized and wish to add a new Mac or Windows computer, you’ll need to deauthorize one of the existing ones. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to authorize and deauthorize a Mac or Windows computer using Apple Music or iTunes.
