What is Apple Music Replay?

Apple Music Replay uses your Apple Music listening history to calculate your top songs, albums, and artists throughout the year. With Apple Music Replay, you can relive the music that defined your year. Get insights in to your most played artists and albums. And get a playlist with your top songs of the year – and one for every year that you’re subscribed to Apple Music.

Spotify provides a “Spotify Wrapped” recap of each user’s listening habits and favorite songs at the end of each year. Unlike Spotify, Apple Music’s “Wrapped” rundown “Apple Music Replay” is refreshed yearly at the beginning of each year, usually during February.

One of the most notable differences between Apple Music Replay and Spotify Wrapped is that Apple Music Replay is actually available and updated year-round. This means you can track your Apple Music listening habits throughout the year. But of course, the end of the year is the best time for people choose to access their Apple Music Replay data.

How to access Apple Music Replay?

Apple Music has already released 2022’s Replay on Feb.16, 2022. You can find the Apple Music Replay 2022 playlist at the end of the “Listen Now” tab on the Apple Music app. You can also add your Replay 2022 playlist to your Apple Music library, as well as playlists for prior years dating back to 2015 as well. You can view your Replay playlists in the Apple Music “Listen Now” tab, but you have to visit the Apple Music website for the full details.

If you want to get more insight into users’ listening time, get Apple Music Replay on your web browser.

  1. Make sure you subscribe to Apple Music. Go to https://music.apple.com/us/replay
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Click Get started.
  4. Tap Play highlight reel to view a highlight of your listening statistics in the past year. After you’ve seen your highlight, that button will change to Resume your highlight reel.
  5. Next, scroll down the page to view your complete statistics.

When you scroll down, you’ll see different statistics. At the top, Apple Music Replay displays the total number of songs you’ve listened to in the past year, followed by the top five songs. After that, the platform lists your top ten songs, followed by the total number of artists you’ve listened to, including your favorite ten, breaking it down by the total minutes listened to per artist.

The page also includes the total played albums and playlists and highlights your top albums and playlists. It also includes your top stations and wraps it up with a link to your Replay 2022 music playlist with a collection of your top songs of 2022. Optionally, you can share some of your stats on social media using the Share button on the bottom right.

If you can’t find Replay 2022, that’s because you haven’t listened to enough music to generate a playlist.

After you add your Replay playlist to your Library, you can share it just like any other playlist you make. Your friends can add your Replay playlist to their library and get updates on your top played songs throughout the year.

Apple Music Replay 2022 shows your top 100 most played songs, your top 10 played albums, and your most listened to artists. You can find your stats by heading over to replay.music.apple.com, or the “Listen Now” tab in the Apple Music app.
