How to set Apple Music sleep timer on iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows PC?

For people who loves to fall asleep with relaxing music, sleep timer feature in the music app is very important. It’s hard to believe that sleep timer in Apple Music is limited to the Android version. On iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC, Apple Music doesn’t have sleep timer feature. But don’t worry, we have found nifty workarounds that let you set a sleep timer for Apple Music on iOS, Mac and PC. Let’s get started!

1. Set a Sleep Timer for Apple Music on iPhone and iPad

The Clock app for iPhone and iPad allows you to set the desired sleep timer so that you can fall asleep by listening to your favorite music.

  1. Open the Clock app and tap the Timer tab in the bottom right corner.
  2. Set the time duration. Tap When Timer Ends, swipe to the bottom and tap Stop Playing.
  3. Tap Set in the top right corner and press Start.
  4. Now listen to Apple Music and your music will stop with the timer.

2. Set Sleep Timer on Apple Music for Android

  1. Open Apple Music on your Android phone and play a song. Tap the vertical three dots menu at the right corner of the Now Playing interface and choose “Sleep Timer”.
  2. Select the sleep timer duration and you’re all set. Apple Music will automatically stop the song after the predetermined time period.

3. Set a Sleep Timer for Apple Music on Mac

1. Go to System Preferences on your Mac and choose “Battery” settings. In macOS Catalina and earlier, you will need to choose Energy Saver.

2. Click Schedule. Set the preferred time for your Mac to shut down or sleep and click Apply to confirm.

3. Now play Apple Music songs and your Mac will go into sleep mode at the desired time and Apple Music stops then.

4. Set a Sleep Timer for Apple Music on Windows

  1. Go to Settings – System – Power & Sleep -> Sleep.
  2. Set the time duration.
  3. Apple Music stops as long as your PC goes to sleep.
