How to get Tidal HiFi for free

TIDAL is a Norwegian subscription-based music, podcast and video streaming service that offers audio and music videos. Listen to music exactly as the artist intended in Hi-Fi, MQA, or immersive sound formsts like Dolby Atmos or 360 Reality Audio.

TIDAL is the first global music streaming service with high fidelity sound, hi-def video quality. Since January 2017, its £20 ($20) per month HiFi tier has granted access to hi-res (typically 24-bit/96kHz) Tidal Master streams, encoded using MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology. However, competition becamed fierce when Amazon announced that its hi-res-inclusive Music HD tier will now be free for all Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers and Apple Music offered subscribers lossless audio (and Spatial Audio) at no extra charge. On NOV 17, 2021, Tidal finally responded by launching a free tier and a new, less pricey hi-fi subscription.

Tidal is upgrading its standard paid plan to include lossless and high-resolution audio. Now known as Tidal HiFi, the $9.99-per-month tier offers the improved music quality (up to 1411kbps) and also adds “offline capabilities, access to features like Tidal Connect and My Activity, which provides individualized daily listening insights.”

  • HiFi - $10.99 a month with HiFi Quality Sound (Up to 1411 Kbps)
  • HiFi Plus - $19.99 a month with Master Quality audio (up to 9216 Kbps), and immersive audio - 360 Reality Audio, Dolby Atmos Music
  • Family HiFi - $16.99 a month including up to 5 additional family members totaling 6 on the account. HiFi Quality Sound (1411 Kbps)
  • Family HiFi Plus - $29.99 a month including up to 5 additional family members totaling 6 on the account. Innovative Audio Formats(up to 9216 Kbps), Master Quality audio, and immersive audio - 360 Reality Audio, Dolby Atmos Music

Both of Tidal’s new HiFi tiers will be available internationally, while the free tier is exclusive to the USA. But the company plans to extend the free tier to other markets in the future. Even though TIDAL music launched free plan for US users, if you wish to listen to high-quality lossless sound quality, you will have to buy their subscription plan.

Promotional campaign runs until 2/1 for new TIDAL users only. The promotional campaign can only be used once. Can I get free Tidal from T-Mobile/Sprint?

No. T-Mobile/Sprint is ending free Tidal subscriptions .

However, T-Mobile has decided it is time to fully move on.

T-Mobile will begin the process to sunset the Tidal service as a plan benefit from August 1st 2024. Tidal is to not be offered even if customers move to a formerly eligible as of August 1st. The official end of Tidal for T-Mobile plans is set for September 1st, 2023.

However, it is offering 90-day trial for new users in Poland. You get the first 90 days for free, after that 19,90 PLN will be added to your monthly billing. You will not be charged for any data usage!
