Before signing up for Spotify Duo, you will need to make sure that you and your Duo partner are residing in the same location. If you are the person to sign up for Spotify Duo, then you are the plan manager. You will be handling the payment of the subscription fee, and you can add or remove the other member.

2. Log in with an existing account or by creating a new one.

After you sign up for Spotify Duo, it won’t directly add your music to the Duo Mix. You need to join Duo Mix, then it will generate the Duo Mix playlist of your songs and your co-member’s. To join Duo Mix, open the Spotify Duo(https://www.spotify.com/account/duo) page on a browser, tap “More” and select “Join Duo Mix”.
On your device, scroll down to the ‘Made For You’ section and tap on the Duo Mix playlist, then you can play the Duo Mix playlist. Or you can also search for Duo Mix using the Search tab. If you have a voice controlled speaker, ask to play Duo Mix.
Duo Mix updates regularly to stay fresh according to your and your co-member’s music habits, so you cannot directly download it for offline use. But you can add all the current Duo Mix songs to a new playlist, and then download that playlist to use it when you’re offline.
1. At the top of the mix, tap the 3 dots icon.
2. Tap Add to playlist.
3. Tap NEW PLAYLIST and name it, or add songs to an existing playlist.
4. Download that playlist.
However, starting May 23, 2022, Duo Mix will no longer be available, according to an email and an in-app notification sent to Duo subscribers from the streaming company. This feature is replaced by Spotify Blend . Spotify Blend allows you and your friends to combine your musical taste into a single playlist that you can listen to together.

If more than two people living in your home want Spotify, Duo might not be the best option. You should go for the Spotify Family Plan instead.
