A little over a third (31.7%) of all podcast listeners use Spotify to access their favorite shows, accounting for nearly 25 million downloads in August 2021.
Different from songs, Spotify allows both premium and free users to download podcasts for offline playback.

You can delete a downloaded podcast episode by going to the Your Library tab, selecting the Downloaded button at the top of the screen (you might need to swipe left to get to it) then selecting the episode. You can then tap the three dots under the episode and choose the Remove from your Episodes option.
While Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages.
Some users complain that "Spotify plays ads and then restarts the podcast so you have to stop and hunt for where you left off.
