How to listen to Spotify on Samsung smart watch


With a Samsung smart watch like Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Watch4, Gear Fit2 Pro, etc., you can control and listen to Spotify right from your wrist. Simply download the Spotify app on your Samsung Watch. With a Premium Account you can also download playlists directly on your watch to listen offline.

Once installed, you can play directly from your wrist, or to another device with Bluetooth or Spotify Connect.

If you are a Premium user, simply swipe right, then tap a song or playlist you want to play. If you are a free user, you can select a song but Spotify will automatically shuffle everything.

  2. Select Apps
  3. Tap on Entertainment
  4. Select Spotify
  5. Tap on Install.

Listen to Spotify Offline from Samsung Watch

Add music using Galaxy Wearable for Android

Using the Galaxy Wearable app is the main way to export music to your watch. First, make sure the music you want to add is on your phone. Song files cannot be exported directly from a PC when the watch is connected to your Galaxy or Android phone. The Galaxy Wearable app and the Music app support MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, and WMA audio files.

  1. After you've added your music to your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app.

  2. Tap Watch settings, and then tap Manage content or Add content to your watch. Next, tap Add tracks.

  3. You can select songs individually, or tap All in the upper left corner to select them all. Tap Done once you have the songs you want.

  4. Next, open the Music app on your watch to access the music tracks. It's that simple!

Add music using Gear Music Manager for iOS

If you have at least an iPhone 6 with iOS 12, you can use the Gear Music Manager for a Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Active2, Galaxy Active, Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport, Gear S3, Gear S2, and Gear Fit2 Pro.

  1. First, make sure your computer and watch are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Then, press the Home key (Power key) on your watch, and then swipe to and tap the Music app.

  3. If you see a phone icon, tap it to set the watch as the music source.

  4. Now, swipe up on the Now playing screen, tap Music Manager at the bottom of the Library, and then tap START.

  5. Next, open a web browser on your computer.

  6. In the address bar, enter the IP address displayed on your watch.

  7. On your watch, confirm the connection, and then you'll be able to manage the music library for your watch using the browser.

  8. Once your watch connects, select Add new tracks in the web browser. This will open a file-select dialogue box.

  9. Choose the audio file(s) you want to add to your watch, and then select Open.

  10. The file(s) will transfer to your watch. When they're finished, tap OK on the web page, and then tap DISCONNECT on your watch.
